Herbie – The Love Bug

From the original Disney movies, a 63 Volkswagen ragtop bug became the incredible car with a personality known as Herbie. Also dubbed the "Love Bug", this car made racing history as the little car with a big heart that could drive itself faster than any Volkswagen bug was ever meant to go.

Replicas of Herbie can be made out of virtually any pre-1993 Volkswagen bug. The original was a ragtop, but those are extremely rare and getting harder and more expensive by the day. Most people now use the basic hardtop bug with a simulated ragtop just for looks (they were terrible about leaking anyway). There are several variations on the original that have become popular since the 2005 release of "Herbie Fully Loaded". We can build an original Herbie, a street-racer Herbie, or a NASCAR Herbie – whatever you like. They are all street legal and will attract attention wherever you go. All the decals and colors are exact replicas, but the engines will not take you over 75 mph (unless you order the special high-horsepower version). Believe me, these cars are cool just standing still.
