The General Lee
Voted the most recognizable car in the history of television or film, the 1969 Dodge Charger called the "General Lee" was made famous during the wildly popular run of the television show "The Dukes of Hazzard". With the release of the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie, the popularity of these cars has grown even more.
While the television show and movie destroyed many great 69 Chargers, many more still live on. The car used in the show changed over the years, with several subtle changes made during production. We can build you a replica that's as close to the real thing as you can get. Every noticeable piece of the car can be detailed exactly as it was on the show. The numbers on the door, the confederate flag on the roof, the front pushbar, and the Dixie horn are all exact replicas.

Our base model General Lee replica costs $40,000. If you supply the donor car, the cost is $37,000.

Total build time is approximately 8 months.
Here's a list of what you get with your completed car:
* 383 Big Block with 4 barrel Edelbrock carb, Comp Cams performance cam, and Mopar electronic ignition - engine is completely rebuilt and brand new. Includes custom chrome valve covers and air cleaner. Good for about 350 horsepower.
Performance upgrades such as headers, aluminum heads and intake available upon request. If you prefer more power, a 440 engine is available for an additional $2000.
* 727 Automatic transmission, floor shift or console shift (depends on the donor car) - completely rebuilt.
* The body is completely stripped down, then most cars receive new trunk pans, floor pans, quarter panels, and rear window corners. The body is totally smoothed and straightened by hand, then painted Hemi Orange or Corvette Flame Red with a base coat/clear coat finish that shines. All the stainless trim is polished to a chrome-like finish, and all the weatherstripping is replaced.
* All General Lee decals are exact replicas in the correct locations - 01 on the doors, confederate flag on the roof, "General Lee" on the roof. Crossed flags below the rear window are an option (no extra cost).
* Correct 10-spoke American Racing Vector wheels (your choice of sizes) with Cooper Cobra tires.
* All new front and rear suspension including steering linkage, ball joints, shocks, bushings, rear springs and shackles, and new sway bar bushings. Every brake component is replaced, including shoes/pads, wheel cylinders, lines, master cylinder and fluid. Everything is replaced for safety and reliability.
Hydroboost hydraulic power brakes is available for an additional $800, and front disc brakes are available for an additional $1000.
* All new tan interior - includes seats, carpet, door panels, headliner, package tray, arm rests, upper door panels, dash pad, etc.
* Correct style Dixie horn, Main roll bar loop, and front pushbar.
* All electrical systems upgraded to modern components. New oil pressure/temp/voltage gauges, reconditioned speedometer and fuel gauges.
* Plus there are lots of options you can add to customize your car, including: leather interior, air conditioning, stereo systems, chrome engine accents, tinted windows, power windows and locks, etc... Only limited by your imagination.
* Much, much more!!!!
Basically every system will be disassembled, repaired or replaced, cleaned, painted, and reassembled. We provide an ongoing video diary of the build by taking pictures of every process and posting them in the In The Works section of this website so you can see exactly what is being done to your car. When we are done, you will have one of the greatest cars around, and will feel safe and secure in driving it anywhere you want.
