PROJECT: General Lee #17

This 1969 Charger is a true numbers-matching 440 RT! It had seen a hard life before it was brought to us, but we stripped it down and rebuilt it into a screaming machine. Here's a few pictures of what it looked like when we started...

Then it was media blasted to bare metal to get rid of all the rust, and expose all the cancer that needed cutting out. Lot of new sheetmetal was put in place, including quarterpanels, floors, trunk, tailpanel, cowl, and lots of small patches.

The original 440 big-block was rebuilt with a Mopar purple cam, HP exhaust manifolds, and backed up with a rebuilt 727 transmission.

After paint, the car looks much better...

The engine finds it's new home...

Then the finished product, ready to hit the streets in style. Special touches include a B&M Megashifter, Kenwood stereo, AutoMeter gauges, Vintage Air AC system, 4-point rollbar, and custom dash and upper doorpanels.
